A term is mostly made of things that are never scheduled: what time you go to bed, whether you go back a second time to something you enjoyed, who you happen to eat with, whether the nine o'clock class is a habit or a decision. These are the defaults installed in the first fortnight, and they are much harder to change in November than in week two.
This section treats them as practical problems with practical answers. It covers the administration that generates friction every day it stays undone, the arithmetic of a weekly commitment once travel and the social tail are counted, and the way a sleep window drifts by a quarter of an hour a week until an early timetable becomes impossible. It does not offer encouragement in place of method.
